Welcome to Funkwerk IAD GmbH
Funkwerk IAD GmbH was founded in March 2006 as a subsidiary of Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company based in Nuremberg, Germany.

The goal of Funkwerk IAD GmbH, with company sites in Nuremberg and Kiel, is the independent development and marketing of new products in the growth market of Integrated Access Devices (IADs). IADs offer customer-installable network termination for bundled services, such as Internet telephony, Internet TV, and DSL Internet access and provide the relevant interfaces for connecting end devices, such as telephone sets, TV sets, or PCs. IADs are primarily made available by network operators and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to their end customers. In the business world, IADs can also be equipped with switching functions. Another business field is constituted by router/modem products and Internet telephony adapters.

As an FEC subsidiary, Funkwerk IAD GmbH can draw on a wide range of know-how and is able to complement the FEC product portfolio with products tailored to the special needs of carriers and ISPs.

Jochen Lautner, former Channel Manager Distribution at FEC, takes over development of IAD carrier business 

Jochen Lautner has been appointed new Director Sales of Funkwerk IAD GmbH. The 34-year old civil engineer (university of applied sciences), who also graduated as MBA, is responsible for the setup and development of the carrier and provider business in Germany and Switzerland. New ADSL2+ product family for carriers und Internet Service Providers (ISPs)

NUREMBERG. Funkwerk IAD GmbH, a subsidiary of Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), presents its first ADSL2+ routers – the M series. These standard ADSL2+ routers are especially oriented towards carriers and Internet service providers who bundle their Internet services with these devices or are in a position to offer them to consumers for regular purchase. The M series includes the low cost routers funkwerk M21 and funkwerk M22, as well as the WLAN router funkwerk M24w. Funkwerk Enterprise Communications entrust their subsidiary to an experienced telecommunications development specialist.

44-year old Dr. Volker Wilkening has been appointed managing director of the newly founded Funkwerk IAD GmbH, a subsidiary of Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a company of Funkwerk AG. Funkwerk IAD GmbH has established itself on the German and European market for Integrated Access Devices (IAD). As managing director, Dr. Wilkening is responsible for the design, development, and marketing of the entry-level IADs. Prior to joining Funkwerk IAD GmbH, the Doctor of Physics worked for DeTeWe AG and Hagenuk Telecom GmbH.

New subsidiary develops and markets entry-level access solutions for carriers and Internet service providers.

Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, steps up its involvement in the growth market for integrated access devices (IADs): To this end, the company has founded the subsidiary Funkwerk IAD GmbH, to independently develop and market new products in the sector at its sites in Nuremberg and Kiel. IADs are access devices, which receive bundled services, such as Internet telephony, Internet TV, and Internet access, via a DSL line and forward them to end devices, such as telephone sets, TV sets, or computers. IADs are primarily used by carriers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for their end customers. In the commercial environment, IADs also allow PBX functions to be implemented.
