Managing Director of Funkwerk IAD GmbH

Since April 2006, Dr. Volker Wilkening has held the position of managing director of the newly founded Funkwerk IAD GmbH. Dr. Wilkening is responsible for the design, development, and marketing of the products of Funkwek IAD GmbH. Prior to joining Funkwerk IAD GmbH, the Doctor of Physics worked for DeTeWe AG and Hagenuk Telecom GmbH.

Due to his long-term experience acquired in leading positions with DeTeWe, Dr. Wilkening is ideally prepared for his new field of activities. He is well-acquainted with the volume business for telecommunications products, the designing and implementing of cost-effective, small-scale ITC systems, as well as with Voice-over-IP (VoIP) projects for enterprises. When working for DeTeWe AG from 1998 to 2006, where he held the position of director of development, Wilkening made major contributions to the strategic alignment of the product portfolio, as well as to market-dominating product innovations. The man born in Lower Saxony joined DeTeWe after working for Hagenuk Telecom GmbH, where he had risen from software developer to the head of the department. Here, he was a key figure in the development of the DataBox Speed Dragon.

"In the strongly growing market for VoIP products for SoHos, we want to play a leading role throughout Europe", defines Dr. Wilkening his aims as the managing director of Funkwerk IAD GmbH. "Within the Funkwerk company group, we have an excellent know-how of the xDSL, VoIP, Routing, and WLAN technologies. This is an ideal starting position which enables to launch good products on the market in real time. In addition to the classical telecommunications providers, we address the carrier market, as well as Internet providers. In this market segment, we will present ourselves with a product portfolio that is optimally tailored to the demands of our customers."
